This beer knew it was going to be a beautifully warm weekend. Some roast and crisp malt flavors with a thin beer and slight sour finish that complements the flavor makes this Brown ale easy to drink.
25 IBU, 14 SRM, 5% ABV

This golden milk stout is smooth and delicious with a chocolate and cherry flavor that builds up beautifully as you enjoy a pint.
20 IBU, 6 SRM, 4.7% ABV
 
The Lionfish
In bitter memory of brewer Bobby Harms appendix disagreeing and eventually leaving him on this beers brew day. This is a rye pale ale with orange peel.
60 IBU, 5 SRM, 4.8% ABV

cHoppy Waters Double IPA
cHoppy Waters is back! This Double IPA is hopped, hopped and then dry hopped for more hop flavor. American hops shine front and center with a nice malt flavor to keep it balanced and dangerously drinkable.
75 IBU, 8 SRM, 7.5% ABV
 
Session IPA with Grapefruit
Grapefruit just goes so well with the Session IPA. Honestly we were just craving this one. So we brought it back for a short run.
50 IBU, 6 SRM, 4.5% ABV

Come join us for our 3rd Food and Beer Pairing event!
 
Once again we have teamed up with the talented Chefs of the Coastal Bend to prepare an amazing evening full of food and beer.
 
Tickets are $70 and limited to 30 people. This is a 21+ event.
 
Doors open at 5pm and the first course will be served at 5:30pm.

Session IPA with Coffee
We teamed up with Corpus Christi’s Driftwood Coffee Company to make this fun twist on our Session IPA. Their choice of coffee bean gives a great fruity earthy flavor that really complements the beer.

Smash Pekko
Smash stands for Single Malt and Single Hop. This beer is another of our Single Hop Series featuring all Pekko Hops. Pekko named for the Finnish God of Field and Crops is said to have an aroma with floral, melon, pineapple, pears, cucumber, mint, herbal, sage and lemon qualities.
40IBU, 6SRM, 4.5% ABV

Hello 2017!
 
This weeks new beer:
 
Molinillo
We once again collaborated with the Chefs of the Coastal Bend (the master minds behind the original Diwali beer and our upcoming food and beer pairing #3) to create a Mexican Hot Chocolate Stout. We started with a Milk Stout base beer and proceeded to add Cinnamon, ancho peppers, cayenne, raisins, vanilla and cacao nibs. What a great combination it came out to be. The aroma from the Cinnamon mixed with the chocolate, and slight coffee from the Milk Stout base is rounded out with a slight vanilla and raison aroma into a fun and complex smell. Onto the flavor! A thick mouthfeel with lots of chocolate, cinnamon and ancho pepper flavor, with a slightly sweet and spicy flavor that lingers for a little while.
35 IBU, 45 SRM, 5.6% ABV

We will be closing at 7pm this Saturday for New Years Eve. Why?! Because what proper new years party ends at midnight? Sadly we cannot stay open past midnight.
 
Anywho, a pair of new beers to ring in the new year!
 
Champagne Beer
So light and so crisp. We brewed the lightest beer we have made yet and once it was done fermenting we decided to dry it out even more with Champagne yeast to give it a very crisp finish. 2SRM 20IBU 4.4% ABV
 
Hermits Lair
You might remember this one from many moons ago. This malt forward porter has lots of that great toasty, malty, bready chocolaty flavor with coffee and… other word(y) food related descriptors. Not quite thick enough to count as dinner, but maybe an appetizer. Merry Christmas..week!
 
We will be closed on Saturday for Christmas eve but open Thursday and Friday with normal hours.
 
A Merry Couple of New Beers this week.
 
We took two more fun spins with our Texas Bock. The first with Irish Coffee mixed in bringing out a much more porter like feeling from the Texas Bock.
 
The Second with Cherrys, this makes the Texas Bock even easier to drink than normal. While not as powerful of a flavor as the irish coffee it still makes for a neat twist.
 
(Mixing the two together was actually our favorite!)
