Hard to believe we still have events planned after the 4th annual Corpus Christi Brewery Festival, but the show must go on! So put on your least dirty sweat pants and come on over, to our humble taproom. We are kicking off the weekend with a new beer release. The 1799 Stout is our dry Irish stout, brewed in the traditional sense aka we drank while brewing it. A dark, rich, and creamy ale at 35 IBU this malty beauty can be sipped on all night. You can fill a growler and take our stout to a St. Paddy’s day rager or just home with your favorite ice-cream and a date with your couch.
Friday’s beer release will be accompanied by the twangy tunes of Michael Burtts Band. The local musician plays a toe-tapping mix of old classics, Country, and Texas Country. Music will begin at 7pm.
What better way to showcase a dry Irish stout than with delectable eats. Down Range Cookin’ will be serving up a fresh made menu. Pro tip: the “machete” is essentially the taco’s cool older brother, even The Fonz would give it two thumbs way up.
Moving right along to Saturday. Join us again for the first in a three-part series, Kaleigh Glover will be leading a coastal birds themed Painting & Pints. Saturday’s class begins at 1pm, $40 gets you a 10×10 canvas, art supply, Kaleigh’s masterful instructions and a nice cold pint. After the class, stick around for our Second Saturday Shindig. We will have food trucks and live music by Melissa Ann beginning at 3:30pm followed by Chris Garza at 7pm.
We know you’ve had such a great time, but wait, we aren’t done romancing yet. Join us on the last day of the weekend for a Sunday Funday. Grab your partner in sweet-tasting sin and take a crack at cookie decorating. Local self-taught baker Amy Netek will guide our shaky hands through decorating five St. Patrick’s Day themed cookies. $30 gets you 5 cookies decorated and boxed to enjoy later, expert instruction, and your first pint. Leave the green to your four-leaf clover cookie and pair it with our 1799 Stout. Cheers!
